Korfball is a ball sport with similarities to both netball and basketball.
Created in The Netherlands in 1902, the game is played by two teams of eight players, four female and four male, who aim to score goals through a 3.5 metre-high hoop.
In Scotland, korfball is mostly played as an indoor sport, however outdoor korfball and beach korfball variants are also played during the summer.
Glasgow Korfball Club is the oldest and largest korfball club in the West of Scotland, with competitive teams taking part at all levels of the Scottish Korfball League.
In addition to playing in the domestic korfball league, GKC also regularly travels to compete in friendly tournaments across the UK.
